Privacy Policy
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Agent Skills Finder ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use agentskillsfinder.com.
Agent Skills Finder is a public directory for discovering, evaluating, saving, and submitting agent skills. The site now includes account and community features such as sign-in, favorites, collections, submissions, ratings, and reviews, so some personal data is required to run those features.
What We Collect
Account and profile information
When you sign up, sign in, or maintain an account, we may collect:
- name or display name
- email address
- profile image
- authentication provider information
- account identifiers and session-related data
Depending on site configuration, sign-in may be provided through email, GitHub, Google, or other supported authentication providers.
Content you create or submit
When you use site features, we may collect and store the content tied to your account, including:
- favorite records
- collections you create, whether private or public
- workflow descriptions or notes you add to collections
- GitHub URLs you submit for skill review
- ratings, comments, and other feedback you publish
- messages you send to support
If you choose to make a collection public, submit a skill, or publish a review, some of that content may be visible to other users as part of the service.
Technical and usage information
We may automatically collect limited technical and usage information such as:
- browser type
- device type
- operating system
- IP address or approximate network location
- referring page or link
- pages viewed and feature usage events
- timestamps, request logs, and diagnostic data
We use this information to operate the site, prevent abuse, investigate issues, and improve the product.
Cookies and local storage
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to:
- keep you signed in
- remember language or interface preferences
- maintain session security
- support moderation, anti-abuse, and basic analytics workflows
If you block cookies or similar storage, some account features may not work correctly.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to serve advertising on selected public content pages. We do not load AdSense on privacy or terms pages, authentication and account pages, administrative pages, error or not-found pages, empty search results, or content that has not passed our advertising review.
Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device or browser identifiers, and similar technologies to select, deliver, measure, secure, and report on advertisements. Depending on your location, choices, and Google settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
The presence of a skill or article in the directory does not mean that advertising is enabled on that page. Content publication and advertising eligibility are reviewed separately.
Learn more about how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and how AdSense uses cookies.
Advertising cookies and identifiers
Google advertising cookies may be first-party or third-party cookies associated with domains such as Google or DoubleClick. Advertising code may also use web beacons, measurement pixels, IP addresses, and similar identifiers even when no personalized advertisement is selected.
We do not intentionally send your name, email address, account ID, private collection content, support messages, or other directly identifying account information to Google in an advertising request. Do not include personal information in public URLs, review text, collection names, or other public content.
Consent choices
Where applicable law requires consent, including for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, advertising remains disabled unless a Google-certified consent management platform has been configured and the required consent choice can be obtained and communicated. You may accept, reject, or manage the available advertising choices through that consent interface when it is available in your region.
You can also control personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings and use browser controls to block or delete cookies. Blocking advertising cookies does not prevent you from using the public directory, though advertisements may be less relevant or may not be shown.
Withdraw or change consent
When the certified consent platform provides its regional privacy choices interface, you can use that interface to change or withdraw your choice. Withdrawing consent applies to future advertising activity and does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Until that control has been verified for a regulated region, we keep Google advertising disabled for that region.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- provide and maintain the directory and account features
- authenticate users and manage sessions
- power favorites, collections, submissions, ratings, and reviews
- associate user actions with the correct account
- review submissions and moderate public content
- improve search, categorization, ranking, and detail-page quality
- communicate about support requests, account issues, or service changes
- detect spam, fraud, unauthorized access, or other misuse
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
Collections, Favorites, Reviews, and Submissions
Because the site includes user features, we store account-linked records needed to make those features work.
This includes, for example:
- which skills you saved to favorites
- which collections you created or edited
- whether a collection is private or public
- which GitHub URLs you submitted
- the review text, score, and timestamps tied to your account
Private collections are intended for personal use inside your account experience. Public collections, published reviews, and some submission-related metadata may be visible to others, moderators, or administrators as needed to operate the directory.
GitHub and Third-Party Content
Agent Skills Finder indexes, links to, and may display information derived from GitHub repositories, SKILL.md files, and other third-party resources.
When you open external links or install a third-party skill, you are interacting with a third-party service or codebase, not with software operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security posture, maintenance status, or code behavior of GitHub repositories or other third-party resources.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only in limited situations, including:
- with service providers that help us operate the site, such as hosting, storage, analytics, authentication, email, moderation, or infrastructure providers
- with advertising and measurement providers, including Google, only on pages and in regions where our advertising controls permit their code to load
- with professional advisers or counterparties in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, or business transfer
- when required to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or valid governmental request
- when reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and security of the site, our users, or the public
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- maintain your account
- provide favorites, collections, submissions, and review history
- preserve moderation records and directory integrity
- resolve disputes and enforce agreements
- comply with legal obligations
We may delete, de-identify, or anonymize information when it is no longer needed for these purposes.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect the information we store. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for limiting access to your own account.
Your Choices
Depending on how you use the service, you may be able to:
- update parts of your account information
- remove skills from favorites
- edit or delete your reviews
- edit, unpublish, or delete your collections, subject to product behavior and moderation state
- stop using the service at any time

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the text on this page and revise the effective date or publication date when appropriate. Your continued use of the service after an update means the revised policy applies to your future use of the site.
